Christmas Wreath Making Experience

Sunday 6th December

Join us and Sophie Hermes Design for a hands-on festive activity this Christmas at Grimsthorpe with our Christmas Wreath Making Experience. Held in the Vaulted Hall, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to spend some time with loved ones in the festive period, whilst creating something magical for your home. 

You’ll create your own Christmas wreath on a base of twisted willow, then build it up with seasonal foliage before adding dried flowers, berries and fruit. Everything is sourced from British growers, meaning your wreath is made entirely from natural, seasonal materials. 

Tea, coffee and mince pies will also be on offer!

What’s included: 

– A twisted willow wreath base

– Seasonal locally sourced, British grown foliage and natural materials

– All materials and equipment for wreath making 

– Expert guidance from Sophie

– A festive, relaxed workshop in the stunning surroundings of Grimsthorpe Castle

– Your finished wreath to take home.

No previous wreath – making experience is needed. Just come along, get creative and make something beautiful for Christmas!

Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, joined by Stamford Brass Band

Sunday 13th December

Join us for a nostalgic evening of Christmas carols, readings and reflection at Grimsthorpe, as we are joined by the Stamford Brass Band in the beautiful surroundings of the decorated and festive Vanbrugh Hall. Enjoy a complimentary mince pie and mulled wine, and relax for a special festive evening at the Castle to get you in the Christmas spirit!

Christmas Classics at the Castle

Tuesday 15th December

Get into the Christmas spirit with an unmissable afternoon or evening of festive music, beautiful singing and Christmas cheer at Grimsthorpe. Set in the atmospheric Vanbrugh Hall, beautifully decorated for the festive season and warmed by a roaring fire, our Christmas concert is the perfect way to begin your celebrations. The concert will feature a variety of talented local choirs, with pop up refreshments before the event and during the interval.

Afternoon concert:

Featuring a one-man performance of a Christmas Carol, songs from the Grimsthorpe Day Nursery and the Haylock Consort.

Evening concert: 

Featuring Bourne Tuneless Choir, Ladies InVoice, Haylock Consort, Rock Choir, and Peterborough Flute Choir.

Swing into Christmas Concert

Join vocalist Lissie Allsopp at Grimsthorpe Castle as she delights audiences with a sparkling repertoire of festive favourites. Surrounded by grandeur and twinkling seasonal charm, you’ll enjoy the perfect blend of music, atmosphere, and festive fun.

Lissie brings her signature charm and star quality to an evening filled with swinging big band hits, smooth crooner classics, stunning carols, and all the seasonal favourites everyone knows and loves.

Immerse yourself in the timeless music of Christmases past and celebrate the season in style as Lissie guides you on a heartwarming, nostalgic, and truly memorable musical journey. Sing along, tap your feet, and feel the magic of the season in a show brimming with festive cheer.
