Guided Tours

  • The castle is open ‘free flow’ with two optional daily guided tours at 11.30am and 2pm
  • Tours are included in the ticket price and can only be booked on arrival
  • Please note that tour tickets are on a first – come – first – serve basis

Season Tickets are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase to be used during our open season.

GROUP VISITS

Available May to September

We welcome group visits between May and September. With a fascinating history, beautiful gardens and a vast parkland, we aim to make your day a memorable one!

 

  • Available in April, Monday to Friday
  • Available May to September, Sunday to Thursday
  • Minimum 15 people
  • Can include Castle tours, Park tours, Garden tours and bespoke catering options

Historic Houses Members

We are members of Historic Houses Association, meaning members of Historic Houses are granted free entry into the Castle Park and Gardens on any public open day.

  • Simply present your Historic Houses card at the Ticket Hut (no online booking required)
  • Free entry only with a valid Historic House Membership card

 

RHS Members

We are an RHS partner garden, meaning visitors with an RHS membership can visit the Park and Gardens for free on certain dates:

  • Valid in May, June and September ONLY on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (excluding Bank Holidays)
  • Simply present your RHS card at the Ticket Hut (no online booking required)
  • Free entry only with a valid RHS Membership card
  • Please note: since we are an RHS Partner garden, free entry applies to the individual RHS member ONLY, and this does not extend to guests.
  • Similarly, free entry only applies to the main member on a joint RHS membership card


Blue Light Card & Forces

  • £2 off Adult Castle, Park and Gardens ticket
  • £1 off Adult Park and Gardens ticket
  • Tickets can only be bought on arrival, not online
  • Discount only with a valid Blue Light Card
