Grimsthorpe Castle, Park & Gardens will be closed for filming from Thursday 8th September until the end of the season (Thursday 29th September).
We plan to reopen for October Half Term on Sunday 23rd October but we advise you to check the website and social media before travelling as the filming schedule may be subject to change.
Benefits of filming at Grimsthorpe
The Grimsthorpe & Drummond Castle Trust exists to preserve the Castle for future generations; as such, it is our duty as custodians to this Grade-I listed historic house to accept offers such as these.
We hope you can understand that activity such as filming will generate a significant income for the Castle. As you can imagine, the cost of maintaining the Castle and Grounds is incredibly high, and this has only increased since being closed during the pandemic in 2020. As well as this, it will increase publicity and bring the Castle, Park & Gardens to the attention of many more potential visitors around the world.
Funds received from large scale events such as filming will go directly towards the day-to-day upkeep of the Castle, Collection, and Grounds. As well as the many exciting building projects we have in the pipeline, including an art gallery, restaurant, gift shop, toilets, and ticket office, all of which will enhance the visitor experience.
Season Ticket Holders
All Season Ticket Holders should have now received an email offering 10% off a 2023 Season Ticket as compensation for this early closure.
Tickets will be available to purchase from 30th September. Simply type in your current Season Ticket number into the promotional code box at the checkout.
